It is true friends, I am running for Board of Trustees in here in Erie, Colorado. It won’t be long before you’ll see my signs around town etc. I feel I can do a good job for Erie and its citizens. Please check out my campaign site. Hank Pantier for Erie Board of Trustees to learn more about this aspect of my life and how I intend to serve Erie.

Media Temple Notes
You’ve configured open_basedir correctly to allow access to /usr/share/pear but to call the file correctly you can either call DB.php using the absolute path
/usr/share/pear/DB.php
or if you want to just use DB.php you will also need to modify include_path to use
/usr/share/pear
You can just include, include_path to the vhost where you added open_basedir. Something like
php_admin_value include_path “/usr/share/pear”
then run
/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/websrvmng –reconfigure-vhost –vhost-name=domain.com
Here are step by step instructions, on how to add an include path for your (dv) Dedicated Virtual 3.5 Extreme.
http://kb.mediatemple.net/questions/514/(dv)+HOWTO%3A+Enable+PEAR%7B47%7DSet+open_basedir+and+include_path.
Also, you may need to modify your php.ini file.
Configuring the php.ini file on a DV requires the following.
1. Access to an SSH client.
2. Basic knowledge of SSH commands
(http://kb.mediatemple.net/article.php?id=247)
3. And the root password. Root access can easily be enabled using our Root Access and Developer Tools function in the Admin Section of the AccountCenter.
The most common parameters changed in the php.ini file are:
safe_mode
register_globals
max_upload_filesize
post_max_size
max_execution_time
Use the following command at the command prompt to start editing:
vi /etc/php.ini
If you are looking for a specific parameter and would like to go
straight there, type the following:
vi +/parameter /etc/php.ini
example: vi +/safe_mode /etc/php.ini
For more information on using the vi command, review kb article

Great day at Eldora
had a great day skiing at Eldora today – it was unseasonably warm (in the 40’s) and crowded, but the sun soften snow made tele’ turns pretty fun – next weekend I am going to take a Tele lesson at Loveland (i need someone to help curb a few of the bad habits i’ve developed over the past several years). I can’t wait to see the hopeful improvement (and ski loveland’s bowls after the clinic)
time for a change
the other theme just wasn’t cutting it for me any more – it’s time for a change. hopefully it will spark a new passion for this blog. Stay tuned to see.
Go Lite Semi-Annual Warehouse Sale
We’ve decided to camp out for the Go Lite sale. Sometime this evening Chad and I are going to drive over to the warehouse and camp out. In 34 years, I’ve never done anything like this…so it should be fun, albeit, admittedly geeky. I might have to pick up a new book to read this evening.
Paul and Emily indicated they might participate in the absurdness of it all – could be fun.
here’s a link http://www.golite.com/sale/default.htm
Maybe I will post “live photos”.
Using Gmail as your SMTP server

Benefit for Ryan Barnett – 11AM to 5PM – Saturday, June 14th
I got this in an email today and i thought i would post on the off chance that someone stumbled upon my blog rather than Avery’s site…yeah right….
As those of you who have joined the brewing staff for runs and rides know, we like to play as hard as we like to party. Well, unfotunately, a Cat 1 racer friend of the brewery was involved in an accident and is in serious condition. During an early morning training ride, Ryan was run over by a truck’s trailer. He fractured his skull, pelvis, vertabrae, some ribs and is currently undergoing massive amounts of surgery, still in the hospital, and facing lower body paralysis. Ryan’s hospital bills are mounting up and we would like to help him out by throwing a benefit in his honor and for his wife and two little girls. There will be food and beer, but also raffle and silent auction items from incredible vendors such as Blue Competition Cycles, Spuik, Helly Hansen, Deuter, and many others. We will also be doing free bike tune ups! We are asking for a $20 donation, but we will not discourage anyone from giving more.. So please, enjoy a run or a ride in the morning and then come by the brewery for lunch and a few beers and a chance to win helmets, sunglasses, clothing and even a full carbon road bike in the size of your choice.
