Merlot

Shiraz
Shiraz is very much the wine of the moment and this wine is no exception. The spicy bouquet of dense ripe berry is supported by sweet vanilla oak. On the palate, the soft earthy tones of this luscious wine are in harmony with supple ripe sweetness of the fruit and the silky fine tannins.

Chardonnay
This easy to drink light straw colored Chardonnay displays lovely peach, vanilla and coconut aromas. The palate is greeted by a hint of nuttiness with rich creamy toasted characters, while being silky smooth and persistent with a clean finish.

 Cabernet Sauvignon
This cabernet teases the sense with a touch of mint overlaying aromas of blackberries, chocolate and vanilla. Well structured, this wine shows rich berry flavors, peppered with spice and vibrant acids. The palate has lovely length and well supported by toasted vanilla oak, soft fruit and velvety tannins.

Hybrid Red
Medium to dark ruby in color with concentrated aromas of black plum, cassis and black cherry. Just a hunt of violets and cocoa powder round out the nose. Flavors of red licorice and anise caress the silky, soft mid-palate. Medium tannins provide a nice structure to this exotic red blend. Made from certified organic grapes. Vegan.

 Merlot
Light to medium ruby in color, this Merlot offers up spicy aromas of fresh crushed red cherries and currants. Juicy red fruit flavors combine with a touch of light, toasty graham cracker for added complexity. Zinfandel
Deep, dark plum in color with mocha, strawberry, and clove aromas. This is a medium bodied wine with flavors of fresh cinnamon, almonds and white pepper. A full-bodied mouthfeel is followed by supple, moderate tannins that add length and polish to the seductive finish.

 Pinot Blanc
Pale straw in color, this wine has very pleasant aromas of light honey-suckle lemon citrus and almond husk. You just want to keep on sipping to experience the creamy and silky mouthfeel. The citrusy flavors are soft and elegant, yet balanced with a crisp, clean finish. 13.5%. Made with organically grown grapes. Vegan.

 Chardonnay
Medium golden straw in color with fresh and lively aromas of lemon-lime, vanilla and custard. This medium-bodied wine exhibits flavors of lemon zest, nectarine and lightly toasted graham crackers. It exhibits a very smooth and creamy mouthfeel, ending with a balanced mix of fruit and lightly toasted oak. Made with organically grown grapes. Vegan.

Muscat Canelli
The aroma is a potpourri of honeysuckle, apricot, mango, guava and lemon-drop. All these aromas follow through in the flavors – we challenge you to pick out the most vibrant! The mouth-watering flavors of peach and apricot are balanced with a crisp, yet sweet finish. 12%. Made with organically grown grapes. Vegan.

Pinot Noir
This Pinot Noir just keeps on giving. Enticing aromas of strawberries, sandalwood, and fresh raspberries just plucked from the vine. The juicy red fruit flavors are framed by elegant, toasty oak that evolve into a velvety, silky texture on the palate. The highlight of this wine is the bright red fruit flavors followed by the mouthwatering, seductive finish. An easy to drink, yet exotic gem of wine. 13.5%

 Sangiovese
This wine is light ruby in color and offers up bright and lively aromas of strawberries, dried cranberries and sandalwood spice. Given the light color of this wine, one would not expect such a full-bodied mouthfeel that was round, soft and supple with flavors of zesty cherry and cranberry. This is a very food-friendly wine. 14.5%. Made with organically grown grapes. Vegan.

 Cabernet Sauvignon
Medium ruby in color, this wine has deep, brooding flavors of chocolate-covered blackberries and mild toasty oak flavors of graham cracker and caramel. Cassis and plum complement the flavors in the mouth, while the soft and supple tannins make this Cabernet a very approachable and easy to drink wine. 13.5%. Made with organically grown grapes.  Padrone
The reticent nose opens to boysenberry, mulberry, vanilla, tobacco and hints of chocolate. The lush full-bodied palate continues with flavors of boysenberry, raspberry and hints of vanilla. The long and lingering finish is accentuated by the young integrated tannins. A wine to lay down and improve in the bottle for the next 20 years.

Seta
The nose on this wine has aromas of white peach, caramel and citrus. The full bodied palate has gentle spices with hints of cantaloupe, honeydew melon and vanilla. The minerality is silky and seductive with great balanced acidity.

 Vielles Vignes Chardonnay
The nose opens with intense tropical fruit, crème brulee, honey suckle and melon aromas. The layered palate has flavors of green apple, butterscotch, meyer lemon and poached pear. French oak provides a touch of spice with hints of vanilla and cinnamon. This rich and medium bodied offering has great balance and a soft mouthfeel.

 Hope’s Cuvee Chardonnay
The nose opens with apple and mineral aromas. Ripe fruit flavors, especially of apple and pear enhance the broad palate. French oak provides a touch of spice with hints of close, cinnamon and nutmeg. Hope’s Cuvee is a very similar to our Estate Chardonnay but with an extra dimension of depth and concentration from the meticulous barrel selection.

 Estate Syrah
A nice floral component of clove and lavender is the first impression on the palate for this well balanced and medium bodied wine. It has very nice tannins that lead into flavors of roasted coffee, pepper, vanilla and mulberry. Enjoy with lamb, duck, venison or steak.

 Las Amigas Pinot Noir
This Burgundian style Pinot Noir opens with hints of vanilla and strawberry followed by smoky French Oak and cherry. This well balanced and medium bodied wine has nicely integrated tannins and a long, lingering finish with layers of cherry, pepper, bay leaf and raspberry.

 Luvisi Vineyard Zinfandel
The nose is immediately rewarded with fragrances of blackberry and blueberry. Ruby red in color, it has good balance with nice acids. This pleasantly plump wine is followed with layers of raspberry, blueberry and hints of vanilla, anise and sweet oak. Enjoy with a pork shoulder braised with caramelized onions or some dark chocolate.

Fuse Cabernet Sauvginon (with Syrah)
Fuse explodes with the aromas and flavors of a much more expensive Napa Valley wine. The name derives from the inclusion of a significant portion of Syrah, adding an exotic spicy twist to the blend … igniting the senses! A wine with concentrated fruit flavors and a good acid balance. The playful packaging reflects our delight in sharing FUSE with you.

Edge Cabernet/Merlot Blend (84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot)
This supple and lush wine immediately opens to flavors of blackberry, clove and hints of vanilla. The medium bodied palate is balanced with flavors of eucalyptus, sweet plums, ripe cherry and hints of tobacco, while the finish is accentuated by nice acidity and subtle oak flavors. 14.4%

 Luna Rose 13.8%
This is a refreshing rosé with just a touch of residual sugar. The crisp papaya and melon fruit mouthfeel mixes with a hint of sweetness and vanilla on the finish. This is a great summer wine to delight the palate. Delicious!

 Pinot Noir “Aquarius” 14.1%
The nose has an elegant array of strawberry, mint, spice and cranberry. The mouthfeel is well balanced with amazing flavors of ripe strawberry, eucalyptus, & spice and accented with flavors of morel mushrooms and vanilla. The finish is soft and delicate with French oak and white pepper lasting long into the next sip.

 Full moon Red Wine 14.3%
The Full Moon Red is a user friendly, lighter styled, everyday wine. Bright red fruit, (think strawberries and raspberries) with just a little oak and spice. Soft tannins glide easily into the next sip. This is our “while cooking dinner” wine. Easy going but interesting enough to drink with anything. Seriously.

 Syrah “Nocturne” 14.6%
The color is a beautiful dark violet. The nose is an explosion of ripe blackberry, vanilla, white pepper and minerals. The mouthfeel is full and rich with flavors of black cherry, plum and strawberry accented by an intriguing earthy spiciness. Well balanced tannins and acidity frame an impossibly long finish.

 Malbec “Solstice” 14.3%
A beautiful violet coloring and nose of expressive jammy black fruit and spice. This wine is full and creamy on the palate with ripe flavors of blackberry, plum, minerals and a structured finish of leather and oak.

Estate Merlot 14.8%
This wine is our 7th edition of Estate Merlot, The color is strikingly dark and the nose has concentrated flavors of plum, black fruit and spice. The mouthfeel is incredibly large and wildly intense with flavors of black cherry, plum, leather and minerals dancing brightly on the palate. All that and framed firmly by balanced acidity and tannins. An impossibly long finish lingers with minerals and distinguished spiciness. A wonderful, full-bodied Merlot that even the snootiest Cab lover will enjoy!

 Cabernet Sauvignon “Nebula”
This wine has a beautiful, dark ruby color. The nose is filled with aromas of dark cherry and plum accented with oak and spice. Full bodied in the mouth with flavors of black cherry, plum, and blackberry joined together with a dash of spice. The firm tannins follow through and shape the long finish of berries, mixed with oak and a minerally spiciness. This wine deserves a juicy, grilled ribeye!

 Capriccio Italien 14.5%
The Capriccio Italien is named after Tchaikovsky’s composition of the same name, written over 125 years ago. Our previous vintage of this wine was in 2001, and it is back by popular demand! Known as a “Super Tuscan,” this wine is an enticing blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The aroma is pretty, with essence of rose petals and minerals leading into a tart cherry and toasted vanilla bean mouthfeel. This wine is young, and we recommend decanting for maximum enjoyment.

 Petite Sirah “Eclipse” 14.1%
This is our second offering of Petite Sirah. An incredibly dark ruby with violet accents. The nose is earthy and full of mineral accents and black fruits. It is full bodied and tannic with complex flavors of black raspberry, minerals, and toasty oak flowing into a long, full finish with firm tannins.

 Mare Nectaris Reserve Red 14.6%
This is our second offering of Petite Sirah. An incredibly dark ruby with violet accents. The nose is earthy and full of mineral accents and black fruits. It is full bodied and tannic with complex flavors of black raspberry, minerals, and toasty oak flowing into a long, full finish with firm tannins.

 Gemini Reserve Red  15.5%
Sexy red and dark berry preserves on the nose, with complicating notes of anise and violet. Juicy, incisive black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors are made more complex by suggestions of cracked black pepper and floral pastilles, with zesty acidity adding lift. A sweet vanilla quality lingers on a long, spicy finish.

 Estate Zinfandel 16.9%
The color is an incredibly dark garnet with violet accents. The nose is explosive with intriguing aromas of stone fruit, strawberry, and cinnamon. The mouthfeel is enormous with a bold array of peaches, dried herbs, minerals, ripe blackberry and leather. The finish lasts forever with well-balanced tannin and acidity.

Summit Creek Zinfandel
Named for the creek that runs through our west-side vineyard in the Santa Lucia Mountains, this Zinfandel offers intense fruit, including ripe black cherry, raspberry and a touch of spice. In the mouth, this well-balanced wine offers a delightful aftertaste that keeps on giving.

Mountain Zinfandel
If you are one of those that believe bigger is better, read on. Appropriately named both for its bountiful bouquet of fruit, as well as where the grapes are grown, this full-bodied Zinfandel has plenty of ripe black cherry, plum and spice and is framed by soft tannins and balanced acidity. Zinfandel isn’t known as America’s most decadent red for nothing.

Late Harvest Zinfandel
Takes off in the glass with intense aromas of raspberry, raisin and dried cherry. Sweet upfront with a clean and slightly spicy finish. Pairs beautifully with chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate.

Rhapsody
This Meritage is a masterful blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Soft tannins and a bountiful bouquet of fruit, complemented by aging in both French and American oak barrels, have created a wine with immediate appeal. 

Pinot Noir
Three Dijoin clones and one Pommard make this Santa Lucia hillside Pinot very concentrated and formidable; earthy minerality, with berry fruit and toastiness born of 18 months in French oak;  great with rack of lamb or marinated pork loin.

Petit Sirah
Impressively extracted, this inky, intense wine is sure to please the Opolo “Bigger is Better” crowd. Aromas of chocolate, blackberries, graham crackers with a touch of cinnamon inspire visions of what’s to follow. The palate is greeted by gobs and gobs of dark, jammy fruit unfolding in waves of chocolate, spice, toasty oak and vanilla. The long lingering finish is soft and round but don’t let this gargantuan wine fool you, it has plenty of dry tannins to satisfy the big red wine drinker and collector in you. Pair with blackended grilled meats, Chimay Belgiuim Cowsmilk Cheese, Goat Gouda Cheese US & Soumaintrain Triple Cream from Burgundy.

Petit Verdot
Gorgeous and incredibly bold, this richly extracted Bordeaux varietal has loads of dark berry and mocha notes. Twenty months of French oak cellaring has created a wine that is both thick and fine as velvet.

Montagna-Mare
This masterful blend of Barbera and Sangiovese has an easy approach and soft texture. Vibrant displays of cherry, raspberry & blueberry jump out of the glass while a long spicy finish pulls you back in. This ‘Italianesque’ wine is fruit driven yet integrated with broad stokes of oak aging. Enjoy with a classic lasagna or an aromatic risotto.

Merlot
True to its varietal flavors, this wine showcases the potential of Merlot in the Paso Robles area. Aromas of black cherry, plum, chocolate and red currant magnify the approachability of this wine, while soft tannins and oak nuances lead to a refined mouth feel. Tasting beautiful now, this wine will only get better with age.

Malbec
Our malbec is intense and powerful, but shows good balance, generosity and proper but strong oak. Extracted flavors of berry fruits, baked plum and dried cherry are supported by earth, leather and toast. This young wine is properly textured with a composed and lasting finish.

Grenache
Round & supple, our ’06 Grenache displays well defined fruits and an ample array of dried spice flavors. Hints of leather and smoke show persistence on the finish.

Fusion
Plush and ripe on the palate, our 2006 Fusion has fantastic color and ense aromas that are supple and muscular with the potential to age. Dark berries, chocolate and herb flavors present themselves up front with subtle notes of butterscotch and vanilla on the finish fron again 20 months on both French and American oak.

Cabernet Sauvignon
This huge and authoritative wine is dry and rich in tannins and shows a vast repository of flavors. Blackberry, black cherry, and new oak flavors are wrapped into a smooth, velvety mouth feel whose finish goes on forever. An Opolo classic since our first production, our 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon will not disappoint.

Maestro
A blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah and Counoise, this Rhone blend starts with aromas of cedar, current, leather, and spice with hints of anise and tobacco. On the palate it is playful with a rich intensity and a smooth stylish finish. This complex age worthy wine should cellar nicely over the next three to five years.

Grand Rouge
This blend of Counoise, Grenache, and Petite Sirah displays hints of strawberry and mocha on the nose. It turns increasingly complex in the mouth showing layers of blueberry, plum and blackberry with hints of nutmeg and spice on the finish. Its lighter style makes it a perfect summer red.

Cabernet Franc
Layered with cedar, rose pedals and spice, this wine displays the ideal characteristics of a Cabernet Franc. Perfectly balanced and layered with fruit, this wine is the perfect accompaniment with prime rib, rack of lamb and aged cheese.

Roussanne
This white Rhone wine has delicate honeysuckle floral aromas and fruit flavors of melon, apricot, and pear. This Roussanne is nice and rich – it has good complexity, acidic balance and structure due to its partial barrel fermentation in new French oak. Pairs perfectly with rich seafood such as crab, scallops or shrimp.

Viognier
Great concentration of tropical fruit leads on the palate. The wine shows apricot, Crenshaw melon, pineapple, and papaya , and a viscous intensity that lingers for a rich long finish. All of this concentrated fruit is accented with a touch of exotic spiciness that highlights the richness of the wine and leaves a clean and refreshing impression on the palate. A very big-bodied wine with loads of forward fruit makes this Viognier particularly good with smoked and grilled items. Its tropical tones are also an excellent accompaniment to Indian and Thai Curry and most Asian foods and spices. To be enjoyed with full flavored foods and ripe cheeses, it is also excellent as an aperitif.

Fleur de Paso
Rich and seductive, this dessert style Viognier has a beautiful golden color in the glass and a bright floral bouquet. Layers of honeyed melon, ripe peach and vanilla create a smooth and creamy texture with a delicately spiced and easy finish. This fun and fruity wine pairs perfectly with soft cheeses and warm, sunny afternoons.

Chardonnay
A lively California Central Coast barrel fermented Chardonnay, this has hints of apple, flower blossom and pear. Aging in French oak barrels has given this wine notes of vanilla and an enjoyable lingering aftertaste. This wine was produced at our small winery, tucked in the rugged Santa Lucia Mountains west of Paso Robles.

Pinot Grigio
Perfect for summer, this wine showcases pineapple, apricot, and green apple. Honeyed fruit benefits from a fresh acidity that makes this wine both brisk and clean. Pairs beautifully with pasta salad, grilled white meats or finger foods.

Merlot – Columbia Valley, Washington
Naked is our best selling wine. Seems like everyone likes to get Naked. Aging in both French and American oak barrels integrated smoothly with its plum and earthy cherry flavors. Structured yet soft tannins make this a complex wine ready to drink now. We like this Merlot with eggplant parmesan and moist chocolate cake.

 Vixen Syrah – Rogue Valley, Oregon
This is our foxy wine, great for a romantic affair! Vixen is characterized by her very dark beautiful color. Smoky, rich blackberry and hints of ripe black cherry on the nose. Close your eyes and experience the subtle complexity of the Rhone Rogue Valley, as Vixen finishes with roasted espresso. A musty Gruyere or maple smoked Vermont Cheddar will do nicely with this fox.

 Missionary Cabernet Sauvignon – Columbia Valley, Washington
Everyone has their position. Missionary is one of ours. Yes, simple and straightforward… and always satisfying.The 100% oak aging offers good structure and subtle tannins followed by full aromas and flavors of ripe cherries and blackberry with a hint of anise. This Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent companion to roast pork or lamb during the main course or for dessert try it with a good Stilton.

 Pinot Noir – Oregon
This is our bare-all wine. Who doesn’t love to get Naked? Try the Varietal that made Oregon wines famous: Pinot Noir. 100% Pinot Noir, enjoy the classic light body and rich cherry nose with a delicate satin tannin finish that lingers playfully on your tongue.

 Penetration Cabernet Sauvignon – Columbia Valley, Washington
As we’re sure you’ll agree, Penetration is always satisfying. Intense concentration with a huge extract. The French oak presence is upfront on the nose with sweet cherry and plum flavors of dark fruit. This Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent companion to steak and pastas with a robust red sauce during the main course or during the dessert course try it with dark chocolate.

 Diva Sangiovese – Columbia Valley, Washington
Diva is our Prima wine. This wine is daring, drop-dead delicious and will leave you begging for more.This Diva is very approachable graciously offering a delightful blend of butterscotch, strawberry-vanilla on the nose. Soft and round on the palate with light milk chocolate vanillin finish. Enjoy Diva during the summer heat or if it’s cold outside by a toasty fireplace. Try savoring this wine with strawberry cheese cake or slices of kiwifruit with kumquat poppers.

Dominatrix Pinot Noir – Willamette Valley, Orego
This dominating wine will win you over with its tightly wound oak characteristics. Try the Varietal that made Oregon wines famous: Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Scents of pressed flowers and black raspberry jam complement the satin tannin finish. We like Dominatrix with foie gras on toast points accompanied by Oregon Hazelnuts for added crunch.

 Foreplay Chardonnay – Rogue Valley, Oregon
This is a delicious way to warm up an evening. Who doesn’t like Foreplay, ladies? A crisp chardonnay lightly oaked with no malolactic fermentation leaving a clean finish. The beginning is bright and fruity with hints of green apple and the finish is dry and toasty. Perfect wine for snuggling.

 Pinot Gris – Rogue Valley, Oregon
Savor a full frontal of floral and fruit with this refreshing Pinot Gris. A rich nose of fresh spring flowers, this wine tempts the nose and please the palate with light and playful fruity flavors. Good sipping wine as it finishes crisp and hangs out in the mouth for the long run. Complement your summer salad with the Naked Pinot Gris.

 Tease Riesling – Oregon
This wine promises to be a sure thing. It’s sweet, but not too sweet. Easy. We aim to Tease. Fermented in very cool temperatures this semi-sweet light wine is bountiful in summer fruit, candied casaba melons, honey drizzled apricots, with a soft lemon citrus finish. Please your palate with a cool crab cocktail served on a fresh pineapple bed with a sweet and spicy Thai basil sauce for dipping.

 Sugar Daddy Muscat – Columbia Valley, Washington

 Climax Chardonnay – Columbia Valley, Washington
This wine will leave you screaming for more…This classic California style Chardonnay is subtly oaky with flavors of pear, citrus and vanilla. Spiced pork tenderloins or shrimp scampi will be just right with this wine.

 Library Climax Chardonnay – Rogue Valley, Oregon
This wine is will leave you screaming for more! A large portion of the blend was barrel fermented with full malolactic fermentation which yielded a soft butterscotch finish. Notes like pear and melon are accented by some caramel and toasted coconut aromas from the barrels.

 Virgin Chardonnay – Columbia Gorge, Oregon
Enjoy this Virgin like it was the very first time. This classic California style Chardonnay has huge oak on the nose from 17 months on new oak. Enjoy strong flavors of pear, papaya and vanilla. Spicy thai dishes will be just right with this wine.

 Escort Pinot Gris – Willamette Valley, Oregon
Our escort wine is a perfect wine to accompany you when want to impress! Warm notes of blanched almonds complement the fruit offerings of honeydew and nectarine. A medium bodied wine with an attractive finish it pairs well with starters like mango salsa and blue corn tortilla chips, Dungeness crab or a soft goat cheese course.

 Naughty Chardonnay – Columbia Valley, Washington

Shiraz
All our grapes are grown in Riverina region where rich soils and dry summer climate ensure the growth of premium wine grapes. This is a well balanced dry red shiraz with berry fruit and pepper spice aromas. A full fruit driven palate with American oak flavors on the finish.

 Chardonnay
Fresh citrus/melon and white peach fruit aromas in harmony with nutty, vanillin French oak overtones. Concentrated melon, citrus and stonefruit fruit flavors complemented by soft, creamy yeast autolysis and delicate nutty oak nuances. This wine has an excellent structure with great length of flavors that are complex, yet fresh. 

 Merlot
This wine has elegant herbaceous and berry aromas, complemented with vanillin oak. The palate has a rich, balanced mouthfeel and a warm finish.

 Cabernet-Merlot
Rich, attractive dark plum red color. The nose shows lifted, aromatic, blackcurrant and raspberry fruits along distinctly varietal cabernet and merlot characters of savory oak and spice 

 Cabernet Sauvignon
The vineyards for the Cabernet Sauvignon have single wire cordons with long straight rows, which enable mechanical operations to run efficiently. The soil is a clay loam, so holds its moisture in dry conditions. The rich full flavor comes from the hardy vine in reference to the tough nature of Cabernet Sauvignon.

 Malbec
Our 100% Malbec red wine has beautiful crimson color with seductive aromas & flavors of ripe berries, mature plums, hints of violet, spice and soft oak undertones in the lingering finish. While enjoyable by itself, it pairs well with pungent cheeses, beef, chicken.

Cabernet Sauvignon-Syrah
A blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 60% Syrah grapes, its alluring ruby color gives way to ripe cherry and plum aromas with hints of spice. The smooth, dried fruit flavors are accented by sweet tannins and balanced oak in the lightly dry finish. Pairs well with game meats and lively, ethnic cuisines.

 Cabernet Sauvignon
Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, the dark purple color is followed by intense black fruits and toasted oak aromatics. Flavors of black current and raspberry are dominant with nuances of eucalyptus and mint, finishing with firm tannins and rich, layered oak aftertastes. Pairs well with roasted meats, tomato pastas, zesty pizzas and hearty foods.

 Malbec Rose
This 100% Malbec wine has attractive rose color with violet hues offering up ripe strawberry, cherry and raspberry aromas & flavors. The soft fruit tastes finish with just a hint of refreshing, delicate dryness. Pairs well with fresh seafood, summer salads, light pastas and Asian cuisine.

 Torrontes
Our 100% Torrontes wine exudes perfumed, floral aromas, enhanced by flavors of fresh pear, melon, pink grapefruit, peaches and honeysuckle lingering in the fruity finish. Pairs well with fresh fruits, all types of seafood and spicy Asian cuisine.

Cabernet Sauvignon

 Shiraz-Carmenere
Bringing together two full bodied grape varieties yet still creating an elegant wine, is what this blend is all about. Fruit forward nose with hints of ripe cherries with a velvety round finish. An easy drinking wine designed for immediate enjoyment and will also age for several years.

 Carmenere

Sauvignon Blanc
Intense red color with violet hints. Its seductive aroma has mature plums and red berries. Smooth, plum, red berries and dry fruits to the palate. It possesses hunts of red fruit and pepper. Ideal with meats and pungent cheeses. Best between 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.

 Chardonnay
Ripe pineapple and tropical fruit flavors play around in this soft yet full-bodied wine. Ideal on its own, or with smoked salmon and other fish dishes. An easy drinking wine designed for immediate enjoyment and will also age for several years.

Estate Chardonnay
Apricot, papaya and crisp minerality, followed by an elegant toasty and creamy mouthfeel. Aged in a combination of French Oak barrels and Stainless Steel tanks.

Estate Viognier
Crisp apricot, citrus and orange peel in the nose pair with beautiful spices and juicy fruit on the palate. This is a truly elegant white wine aged in a combination of French Oak barrels and Stainless Steel tanks.

Estate Muscat Canelli
Mint and rock melon flavors and aromas of fresh muscat grapes, spritzy mouthfeel with a hint of residual sugar. If you close your eyes and sip our Muscat Canelli, you will feel like you are walking in a vineyard at harvest time tasting fresh grapes.

Estate Merlot
Aromas of ripe cherries and herbs. Flavors of milk chocolate and spices round up the classic finish. A classic Merlot, aged for 16 months in small oak barrels. Its fine structure, influenced by the unusually high vineyards of Fair Play, make it a fascinating wine.

Estate Barbera
Intense strawberries mingle with blackberries, chocolate and cinnamon on the palate. Barbera is quickly becoming one of the sought after varietals from our winery. Produced in small quantities for the tasting room only, it is a superior example of distinct, great tasting red wine that fits every occasion. One of our staff’s favorites!

Zinman Zinfandel
Boysenberry, cherries, strawberries, black pepper and a wonderfully rich spicy and fruity finish. A blend of some of our best vineyards, ZINMAN is a signature wine of Perry Creek Winery. Its rich spicy character showcases the high elevation vineyards and make ZINMAN an ideal Zinfandel for the true Zinfandel-lover.

Altitude: 2401 Zinfandel Fair Play Farms Vineyard
Exotic papaya and guava play with lively acidity and rich berry, spice and chocolate flavors. Exotic spices and cherries in the long and smooth dry finish.
From the Fair Play Farms vineyard, one of the premium vineyards in the entire Sierra Foothills, comes our most complex and distinct Zinfandel. Fermentation and aging in French and American oak preserved the luxurious fruit flavors of this great vintage.

 Altitude: 2401 Syrah Dark Forest
Flavors of rich dark berries, spicyness, smoke and a minerally taste of earth. Cherries, vanilla and a firework of intense fruit lead into a long and exciting dry finish.
Our Syrah grapes come from one of the best vineyards in the entire Sierra Foothills. Only the best blocks of the vineyard and finest French oak barrels get selected. When aged for 18 months in small oak barrels, our Syrah develops the classy elegance of its flavors and soft complexity of its mouthfeel.

Altitude: 2401 Petite Sirah Fair Play Farms Vineyard
Dark-purple color, intense ripe blackberry and plum aromas followed by a rich, meaty mouth-feel of mint, sour cherries and raspberry jam. Low yields concentrate both flavors and color of this special Petite Sirah. This wine spent over 20 month in our finest American and French oak barrels, enhancing ripe tannins while accentuating its complex flavors and amazing body.  Its deep, rich texture is followed by a seductive finish.

Altitude: 2401 Zinfandel Potter Vineyard
Blackberries, black cherries and jam in the nose. A meaty Zinfandel with well balanced structure and flavors and firm tannins. Our Potter Zinfandel comes from dry-farmed 80 old Old-Vine Zinfandel vineyards. Some of the oldest vineyards in the United States are found in our area and they still produce great wines. The 2006 shines through its firm tannins, big mouthfeel and yet the elegance only found in high elevation vineyards. Limited release.

Altitude: 2401 Cabernet Sauvignon Fair Play Farm Vineyard
Beautiful intense ruby color with purple reflexes. Sweet cherries, cassis, cinnamon, clove, cedar and cocoa in the nose, followed by a smooth mouth-feel of ripe tannins, dark chocolate, roasted nuts and a velvety finish. Making Cabernet demands a lot of attention. Small yields together with the finest French oak-barrels make up only part of the efforts going into a great Cabernet Sauvignon. 2006 was the first vintage released as an Altitude:2401 Reserve. The wine is aged for 2 years in the bottle and we recommend another year before you enjoy it.

Cobra Syrah
Big aromas of raspberries, red currant and coffee, followed by intense earthy and chocolate flavors. Immensely long and complex finish. Cobra, our muscle wines, are the biggest and boldest wines we produce every year. Their unmatched intensity of flavors and taste make them stand out amongst all other wines. The Cobra Syrah 2007 is the richest and yet smoothest Syrah of the vintage.

Cobra Zinfandel
A forest of blackberries, exotic fruits and chocolate in the bouquet followed by layers of intense spices and elegant juicy flavors on the palate. Our Cobra Zinfandel is the biggest Zinfandel of the vintage. Its juicy and rich flavors are unique and the perfect integration of alcohol in the smooth and lively taste make it a perfect stand alone wine. A Zinfandel for people with a passion for the finer things in life.

Swingsville Zinfandel
In order to create a rich and velvety yet fruity wine, we took Zinfandel from the LDL Vineyard, which is a classic old vine vineyard with 70 year old vines. The fruit shows bright berry but still has that sweet jammy fruit character and great structure. Petite Sirah from the LDL Vineyard was added in to the final blend for additional richness and intensity of fruit. The oak program, a combination of new French and American Oak, was limited so that the wine would be well balanced and supple. The wine was cross flow filtered, which also contributed to leveling out the tannins and making the wine eminently drinkable upon release.

 Zydeco Zinfandel – Napa Valley
Harvested in late October, the zinfandel from Bingham ranch was perfect. Fruit was hand sorted, and then crushed and de-stemmed into three-quarter ton macro bins. A three-day cold soak was done before fermentation. Hand punched down twice a day during fermentation and then gently pressed off and put into 100% French oak barrels. The wine was racked four times while aging in barrels, and then lightly filtered for bottling.

Sauvignon Blanc – Lake County and Mendocino County
The vibrant, crisp Ruby Grapefruit from the Lake County combines with the exotic citrus tones of Mandarin and Blood Oranges from the Mendocino fruit. The resulting wine is complex yet elegant. The marriage of flavors is like a tropical fruit tart with good acidity and fleshy citrus flavors all over a layer of “creme patissiere.” The combination of vineyards and appellations also brings out a wonderful mineral character typical of Sancerre from France. The combination of the tank fermented wine with the barrel fermented wine maintains a great balance in both the nose and mouth between the crisp, exotic tropical citrus fruit and the creamy character of the barrel fermented wines. This is my favorite style of Sauvignon Blanc. You can sip it by itself or match it with a myriad of lighter fare.

Saxy Syrah – Napa Syrah, Sonoma Syrah, Lodi Viognier
In order to create a wine with richness and complexity yet still fruit driven and varietally accurate, we blended Syrah with Sonoma Syrah, and just a touch of Lodi Viognier. The combination of these three areas yielded a wine with exceptional varietal character and flavor. The oak program on the three wines was very different, with the Napa Syrah receiving the most modest oak ageing and the Viognier no oak ageing at all. The wine was cross flow filtered, which also contributed to leveling out the tannins and making the wine eminently drinkable upon release.

Pizzicato Petite Sirah – Napa Valley
Harvested in late October, the Petite Sirah from Bingham ranch was perfect. Fruit was hand sorted, and then crushed and de-stemmed into half ton macro bins. A five-day cold soak was done before fermentation. Hand punched down twice a day during fermentation and then gently pressed off and put into 100% French oak barrels. The wine was racked four times while aging in barrels, and then lightly filtered for bottling.

Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve – Napa Valley (97%)
This R&B Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is an extraordinary wine with remarkable depth and complexity. It exhibits a huge core of dark black cherry fruit with elements of dark black currant, tea, blackberry and violets in the bouquet. The small addition of Cabernet Franc enhances the structure, the color and adds a touch of sweet cherries. The flavors of dark black berry, currants, chocolate, and cassis are evident, with a huge juicy blackberry finish. This wine is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon with all of the exotic spice and layers of fruit you would expect from a Reserve wine. 

Minuet in Merlot – Napa Valley
Harvested in late October, the Merlot from Towne ranch was perfect. The fruit was from the last two rows of vines in the vineyard at the most southern aspect of the vineyard. Stressed more than the other vines, the quality of the fruit was outstanding and deserved to be handled in a very special way. Fruit was hand sorted, and then crushed and de-stemmed into three-quarter ton macro bins. A three-day cold soak was done before fermentation. Hand punched down twice a day during fermentation and then gently pressed off and put into 100% French oak barrels.

Metronome Merlot – Napa Valley
Harvested in late October, the Merlot from Towne ranch was perfect. Fruit was hand sorted, and then crushed and de-stemmed into three-quarter ton macro bins. A three-day cold soak was done before fermentation. Hand punched down twice a day during fermentation and then gently pressed off and put into 100% French oak barrels. The wine was racked four times while aging in barrels, and then lightly filtered for bottling.

Fortissimo Port
The fruit was harvested in late September, hand sorted and then crushed and fermented. When the residual sugar dropped to about 10%, un-aged high proof brandy was added to arrest fermentation. The brandy is 170 proof and thus increases the alcohol from 13.5% to 18.9%. The sweetness from the residual sugar masks any alcohol and the two provided balance and depth to each other.
